Parenting teens is no small feat. Between school stress, extracurriculars, and the emotional rollercoaster of adolescence, it’s easy for parents to fall into the trap of putting their own needs last. But here’s the hard truth: neglecting your self-care isn’t just unsustainable—it’s also detrimental to your ability to parent effectively.

In the latest episode of Parenting Shrink Wrapped, I sit down with my cohost, Dr. Melissa Wellner, to explore the essential role self-care plays in parenting. We’ll discuss:

  • Why self-care isn’t selfish, but essential
  • The ripple effect of your well-being on your teen’s mental health
  • Simple, actionable ways to prioritize yourself without feeling guilty

We know parenting is demanding, but taking time for yourself is the key to staying present, patient, and connected.

Tune into the episode here.
